Love their tea and blended drinks. For food the dumplings and the popcorn chicken are delicious. I haven't tried the rest of the menu items but so far I highly recommend the Love potion #3 perfect for a hot day. Worth driving 2 hours here.
Service can be a hit or miss. Just depends who is working. Even if you ask a question courteously they're always answering with you can look at the menu with attitude. I've gone on a slow day with no customers ordering and one or two sitting on the tables.
I recommend ordering ahead instead.
Visited this joint a few days back since it's one of the only few asian restuarant in the area. I heard some say they add butter into their beef noodle soup which is extremely strange to me. I asked the waiter if they can remove the butter, the waiter said they aren't able to because "it's part of their recipe". Say what? What if someone is allergic to peanuts, is the waiter going to tell the person they still had to add peanuts into the dish that had peanuts in their recipe? So I asked to just add a little butter instead, and this beef noodle soup is by far the worst I ever had. The entire soup is overshadowed by the taste of butter. It's leaves a lot to be desired, and I suggest for the joint to taste their own dish, finding out how the real dish is made and not change up the ingredients.
All around good place to come for food or drinks. Food was good, server/service was good, and the atmosphere was alright.
I enjoyed their drinks, food was okay but a bit expensive. I like the large variety of food and drinks they offer.
Visiting Riverside for work and had the urge for hotpot. Quick google search and I came across Ten Ren’s Tea Time. I liked the name so I went.
The menu was inviting with its variations of teas and juices.
I was not sure which tea I wanted so the Roasted Oolong Tea was recommended. This was a favorite here and I can see why. It was delicious.
Now onto the food, again the choices were all appetizing and difficult to choose one. I decided to to try the Spicy Pork Bone joy pot with beef. Again, I liked the name. The presentation was beautiful, the taste, absolutely delicious! Flavor of the broth was rich and perfectly spiced. With each scoop I discovered something different. This brought me much joy.
If you are ever in the mood for a joy pot and are in Riverside, California, I highly recommend having a meal at Ten Ren’s Tea Time. I’ll definitely be back.
Tragedy on my desk
Food & Drink are great
However, this order’s lid cannot lock in place easily as I press down, then I pressed down harder and milk tea exploded…
It finally locks in
2.5 stars for me as I’m Taiwanese and have been spoiled by food in Taiwan
5.0 stars if I weren’t spoiled, the food is pretty good. Avoid beef noodle soup (who puts butter in the soup for that???), braised pork rice is good. Popcorn chicken is good, spicy wonton is ok (it’s like they marinated it in spicy oil, otherwise flavor is great), tofu is alright.
Overall best thing is the braised pork rice, and contrary to what everyone says about the drinks, they’re extremely expensive and not good at all.
Service is fast, environment is clean, and staff is friendly plus attentive. Had the spicy wontons, and the spicy ramen. The wontons were very delicious, but not really spicy. The ramen broth was delicious, but not very spicy. (I might have a greater tolerance than most though.)
Parking is in the back, and restrooms are clean.
Food was ok. Very small portions for the price. Drinks were good. Not the best. We ordered 3 noodles and 2 drinks, cost me $65.
